Rear Brake Problems

I have an '04 400ex and my rear brake sticks whenever I apply it. It just started doing it. The lever is hard to push down and it sticks in the down position. I have to reach down and pull it up. I was wondering if anyone else has had this same problem. THanks

check the little spring that pulls it back up, myn has fallen off a few times

check the springs or check the oil brake level or bleed your brake,check your pads or the piston if it's not wedge

This happens to almost all 400ex owners. Your problem is that the foot lever needs taken off and greased. Sometimes they are a ***** to get off.

mine did that, Inspect your lines and parking brake. Mine did the same thing and the problem was the rear brake was rusted out.

I grease up the brake lever today and it works fine now. It was a bit of a pain to get out....did Honda not grease anything when they put these together?
