encounter with a 4 legged furry animal

well i was over a friends house tonight on the 400ex and as i was riding home out of the corner of my eye i caught something... in almost an instant i saw a deer hit my front bumper... come over the handle bars... horns hit my helmet leaving blood and big gashes in the helmet... deer kicked me in the femur (huge hoff print) and then its horns caught my fingers and ripped me off the quad...


i broke my left hand pinky and ring finger i think... they are purple and swollen up... i'm probably gonna go to the ER here soon if they don't stopp gettin bigger


my bumper on the 406 is pushed the whole way back into the frame... i dunno of anything else is wrong yet:(

i'm pretty sure i ****ed the deers day up... i couldn't really see and i tried to get home asap... i thought i broke my leg... but i'm ok its just a huge bruise where it kicked me...

i never even saw it coming... it happened in literally a second... came out of the woods to my left and jumped the trail... i had no time to react... def not night riding anymore and thank god i wasn't alone!

Same thing happend to me the weekend before last, but luckily I didn't hit it. It froze up about 6 inches from the crest of the path, and I was really humming (wide open path, I was cruising at the bottom of 5th)

Your fingers definately look a little off, but your day could've been alot worse. Count your lucky stars that thing didn't impale you or something.

Wow that deffinetly sucks. Good thing you were wearing your helmet or it would have been worse. I'm always paranoid about hitting deer when I'm driving my car, just because I know it will destroy my car and just take off running...so I hope if I hit it I kill it. this deer wasn't frooze up... it literally just ran right into the side of me at full tilt... i never even saw it coming till it hit me...

i woke up this mourning and i can barly walk my leg hurts so bad where it kicked me... then my fingers are feeling a lil better so i'm gonna let them go... i start college this saturday so i won't be riding till december now...

A couple years ago on a huntin trip, my brother was riding a motorcycle in the dead of night, and came across a couple cows in the road. They were black, so he didn't see them until he was on top of them. I bet he smacked that cow better than 30 mph.

you want to talk about hitting things. i was going through my friend yard racing a blaster doing about 40mphon my old 250x and their dog ran out and ran at my wheeler. i hit it and it died 10 minutes later. that sucked. it bent my bumper in and my fender in

i just clipped a dear once, on the ol' 400 it kinda sucked. it just caught the bumper, but didnt do any damage, the freakin thing ran right out at me while i was cruzing down the train tracks luckly only in 3rd. i nailed the brakes and just nicked it , no damage to the quad, but the dear learned dont cross the tracks when you hear a loud rumble....

moral to the story...

last week i was riding on the back of my freinds quad and a big turkey was walking down this gravel path we were riding on. all i heard was my freind yell "im gonna mow that mother down" so he pinned it and it was running in front of us we were about 2 feet behind almost running it over it finnaly started to fly up and we both had to duck down or it would hit us in the face. it was kinda cool. but your deer story sounds better, man that would suck getin smashed by a deer. biggest thing i ve ever run over was a goffer, it didnt hurt my bike though there was just alot of hair on my bumper

2 years ago. I put new white OEM plastic with new graphics on my 250R. The first trip out we were coming back down a fire trail in the dark about 11:30pm when out of nowhere..........BAMN!!!
Damn deer hit me like a linebacker on the front right side, ripped through my stainless brake line, through my new plastics and off my leg. I stopped, tried to stand with difficulty due to real sore and swollen right knee. That did not bother me as much as my torn up new plastic!!! Went back to find bleeding from mouth big female deer lying off to side of path............ She was just shaken up momentarily, then fleed into woods.
