ok i have stock rear hubs on my lsr axle, and after about 3 months of having it my stock hobs wobble back and forth. its almost like there too big for lsr spindles. is there nething i can do? and do the lsr rear hubs fit better then stock hondas?

first, check to make sure they are tight.

and yes, stock hub splines will wear, especially if allowed to be run loose.

yes they r tight. i have heard though that stock honda hubs run alittle big, or should i say that a lsr axle spindles run a little small, and should best be used by lsr hubs.

Are you talking about an axle or front hub? I know you mentioned spindle in here and was not sure what you are talking about. If you are talking about the axle, it should have the exact same splines as stock. If it dose not that is a warranty issue. If for some reason your rear hubs did come loose, the hubs will wear before anything could happen to the axle. If you are talking about front spindles and you have a wobble, please check your bearings and get back with me.

no im talking about the axle i thought they were called spindles, but there called splines right? when i push down on the tire and rock it from side to side it moves up and down about half an inch.

id be double checking that the hibs are tight or its not your bearing carrier. 1/2 inch movement :eek2:

ok so maybe its not a 1/2 inch but it moves up a lot, i did check the carrier and its not it its right where the hub mounts to the axle. i think maybe the stock hubs r worn out.

If you don't get the rear hubs on super tight, you're prolly stripping the splines on the axle. One of the guys that does some of the work on my quad races a 450R in the XC A Pro class, and I know he's strpped the splines on like 2 axles already. They have to be on there very tight. I'd take your rear hubs off, and take a good look at the splines on the hubs and the axle to see if either are starting to strip.

Take off the hubs and check them for wear like other people have said, and when you put them back on make shure to greese them. That will help the splines wear less.

Dan, based on your experience, which is likely to wear first; the splines on the axle, or the splines inside the stock hubs?

The hub. The axle is harder than the hub.

That's good news, I've noticed a small amount of play in my hubs. I'm thinking about buying the LSR hubs with the pinch-bolt to fix it.

Some bad, news is we no longer make the hubs with the pinch bolt...

When did they stop? Any chance of me finding some sitting on a shelf somewhere?
