what advantages does a power valve motor have over a non pv motor?

spreads the powerband more throughout the RPM range by changing the exhaust port timing.

there is a nice explanation of what it does, but i cant find it. do a search. but in a nut shell, at low rpms the powervalve is closed creating a small exhaust port, making more low end. at higher rpms the exhaust gasses raise the valve making more top end. it tricks it. i have one and love it.

correction found it.. here you go...

I'm not the type to be a real big jerk, but seriously, you need to do a search before asking a question like this.

Here is an easy answer, when the power valve opens it lowers the compression allowing the motor to rev higher and gives a wider power band.
