250r wont run... need help

my friends 250r kicked over and started in one kick and it hadnt been started in a year... sounded great but then we pulled it out of the garage and it just would not turn over... pulled it behing my fourwheeler but it just wont run... once the engine is moving it sounds like its flooded out all the time or something... major boging.. we changed the plug and checked the reeds and cant find anything wrong... help would be appricated

I had this exact same problem with an old dirtbike I had. Clean the carb and if that doesnt work its time for a new piston and rings. I put a new piston and rings in the dirtbiek and it ran perfect.

had a smiliar problem, it started rode for 5 min,, it turned off.. first make sure your getting spark. ohm out stator should ba around 180-190 for stator 115 for pickp.. coil with boot around 9K ohms. next make sure your getting fuel to the plug, should be a little wet after a few kicks.. after all that check compressiion. mine turned out to be a snapped ring.
