i was gonna get a 05 black 450r this weekend
one place wanted $6900 before taxes
this other wanted $6200 before taxes
and i went today and they wanted $5499 before taxes


the $5499 is rediculously cheap i asked about it
they said they are making room for the 06 and its a sale
after taxes on the $5499 it comes too like $6300


what you guys think?

I bought mine about a month ago, and I paid $5499 for mine. I know of a place up near me, actually in new york that has 450R's for $5299. They have both black and red in stock. If you are willing to make the 3+ hour trip up to Troy, NY to Troy City Garage, the 450R can be had for this price.

I think that if the 3+ hour drive is not worth it to save the $200, you are still getting a hell of a deal, as that is what I paid about a month ago. It was the cheapest around here. I am sure there are other places the might be cheaper, but too much travel time for me.

Soooo..I think go for it or make the trip. Either way, good deal!

$5299...that seems like the winner..i went down to this place today hes like dude you know anyone that lives out of state..so im like yea my grandparents hes like get a photocopy of there ID pay cash and theres no tax and no dmv cahrges cause its a pa license..so i may take the trip to this troy place and grab it for like $5299 OTD that sounds like a plan to me

Dude troy city garages prices are quite deceiving because that price does not include prep, freight, tax or any of the other garbage that dealers tack on, it actually should say that in the fine print on any advertisement you see from them! They are right around what every other dealer in NY are.

400ex69 hit me up with a link I have checked EVERY and I mean EVERY dealer within a 200 mile radius of Columbus and yet to find one with an 05 for under 6.

Did find an 04 in Lima for $5800 but that only in red and everyone knows black is faster...:blah:

Ya but if you want insurance on it you will have to pay the sales tax.So say you don't want insurance and you go to ride it the next day and it's stolen your out your $5299,Just something to think about.I was going to do the same thing buy from chicago cycle and save the tax's ect........ but in the long run it would be cheaper for me to buy it from a dealer 35 miles away.....After all the gas that will be used to get there and back :eek2:

In Newville its between Carlisle and Shippensburg. About 30-45mins away from harrisburg. were do ur grandparents live?
