Where do you live?first of all

But i would start out with a 42 pilot, maybe 148-152 main, and try 2 and a half turns out on the needle, that usually is good

ive heard alot of people try it but end up throwing away the 400's carb because they could never get the jetting right, i would suggest doing some more mods b4 the carbany way, right now your main restriction are the ports after you have them perted you will get more gains than any carb with just a pipe and filter

yeah i was thinking the same thing too and I have another question, im not real smart on the mods but when you port and polish you get the head and pipe done right i didnt know if you could port and polish the carb too, and coiuld somone also run me some prices on how much that costs thanks

it's the single best mod you can make on a 300ex...even stock..it you can't jet it, you CAN'T jet they are easy to get right and even if it's not perfect they still run good.

for a stock 300 use stock 400 jets...148 my friend with a pipe and filter is running a 160 or 165 and it runs great.
