you better warn every racer alive that your son can ride the R now:p

BTW, didnt you build him a 400ex race bike a while back or somthing along those lines?

nada, Burgard offered me use of his 400ex/Blaster which we still have here. The blaster power was ok for him, but the size of the quad wasnt.

Thats the coolest thing i've seen in a while.

Seeing him up with the top pros in 8-9 years(or less)?.....I wouldn't doubt it.:macho

Keep it up Cody!!

I don't know Pappy I've seen what that trx90 looks like after one of Cody's races. You better have some good pics of the 450 before he starts taco'ing rims.:p j/k man, he looks good on it.

Pappy

damn pappy that is 1 hell of a kid....i was ridding at 12 but it was somewhere along the lines of a 250x or a honda recon....if that kid can get on that 450 hand powerslide it like that....and it not buck him off...your son will go somewhere

Pappy
08-23-2005, 08:21 PM
He wanted me to post his pic from the Ironman GNCC last year. He loves to hang it out!

I saw him at rausch he's amazing in person reminds me of when I use to race minis :p

Pappy
08-23-2005, 08:27 PM
I had another dad asking me how i taught him to ride. truthfully I dont think i really did. I mean I showed him how to actually ride, but other then that its been all him. I would love to take credit for it but credit has to go to the riders he races with, and those that ride with him at the track. Here at home him and I battle until old age hits me and he leaves me in the dust! I am one up on him, but thats simply because I have roughly 35 more hp then he does so I won the last race here at the house:devil:

pappy ill be your offical test rider...i love givin quads hell...

i pretty much taught myself how to ride and everything...i went to the mx track about 3 years ago for my first time in my life...i had never set foot on the mx track and the owner of the track was really impressed with me and said i was damn good

i quit goin to the track after i started drivin and such...now i wanna start goin back so i can get back in the groove of things

08-23-2005, 08:32 PM
man,i really must be a giant, when i was 12 i was 5'10 lmao.

cody is pretty short compared to most kids his age. he has grown a touch this summer, but his height maybe helpful if they keep the 90cc classes in the GNCC's. if he was taller i have no doubt he could be riding a larger quad, but the 90 fits him perfectly and i dont see him out growing it next year (who knows, we feed him enough...lol)

here is a side shot on his 90, he is too the point he can move the quad around and correct while jumping. anything much bigger and he would simply be hanging on...hahaha

Wash it?? The quad looks like it's straight off the showroom floor! Nice looking quad, looks like your son is a natural.

He's a perfect size for that 90, no doubt. He looks a bit small on the R.

At a small 12, he's probably due for a growth spurt here real quick. You might want to start looking around right now for a mid-size, like a blaster or 300EX.

We know he can already handle more power, I bet a 250X/350X conversion would suit him just right in a year.

pppy,is that long travel burgards on that R??

08-24-2005, 02:35 PM
Well, let's see here...if Cody has taken over the test rider position...does that relegate you back to the 'pit ******' position?:eek2: :blah:

Cody is looking mean on the big toys too Pappy....atta boy!:macho

good pics and he looks a talented rider!:eek2:

Try with a 300 ex with a cr 80 or kx80 engine on it and when he grows you switch the motor to trun in a small class like the 16 or something like that

Pappy
08-26-2005, 02:12 PM
we started on more jumps for our track. i geuss he is my test rider...lol

1st attempt at this small double

Pappy
08-26-2005, 02:14 PM
2nd attempt and he started feeling confident

Pappy
08-26-2005, 02:15 PM
3rd try and he found the downside.

Pappy
08-26-2005, 02:17 PM
I built this double coming out of a turn so he can develop a bit more on technical jumps.

He is riding his back up 90 and it doesnt have the acceleration his race quad does.

Pappy
08-26-2005, 02:18 PM
I git in trouble for letting him hit the jump a few times in his school clothes:(

08-26-2005, 02:24 PM
hey pappy wats the mod list on that 90
its a sick lil quad:macho

the yellow one has a 11-1 piston, big gun exhaust and a works rear shock, nerfs.

its packed now. when i build them, i usually build a tapered table. then once i see where he is landing, i take out the center (allowing for some room for error)

it looks a little dry there...you will proally need to add more dirt once it rains...

Pappy
08-26-2005, 04:08 PM
yep, this aint my first time building jumps..lol

TCracin440ex
08-26-2005, 04:10 PM
yea im pretty sure of that.....i like to build my jumps with heavy equiptment....judging from the tracks on the jumps you use heavy equiptment too....and i put the fine tuning on them with a shovel by hand...

Pappy
08-26-2005, 04:11 PM
id "fine tune" them, but i havent ever raced on a fined tune track so we just gas it:devil:

yea your right....but id like for my own jumps to be nice where u got a good lip that launches you straight....i have bad experience with uneven jumps

Pappy
08-26-2005, 04:24 PM
he has been handling bad lips fine(maybe from lots of seat time...lol)

at rausch, he would have to hit to the left or right of slower riders where the lip was peaked and off angle. he would correct for it and hammer on!

Pappy
08-27-2005, 11:29 AM
after installing new swing arm bushings, cody wanted to hit the new jump and check out his race quad. he promptly informed me there are some tree limbs hitting him:eek2:

Pappy
08-27-2005, 11:31 AM
they may ineed be coming close on his approach, but not when jumping..lol i geuss he is getting a touch taller

Pappy
08-27-2005, 11:33 AM
the difference between the stock suspension, tires and engine work were easy to see when his 1st attempt sent him 4 or 5 feet past the landing...lol

Pappy
08-27-2005, 11:35 AM
now he wants the take off made larger, the gap made wider and the landing extended:p i think ill add to the landing but thats about it.

very very true. he has riden the 400Ex/Blaster, but prefers 4 strokes. im still leaning twards the YFZ/250F conversion.

that quad was built for Burgards daughter. he was nice enough to let us use the quad to see if CJ could manage the size of the 400. I didnt think it was right to remove the stickers..lol cody didnt care, anyone that would have said something would have had a request for a race:devil:
