Go for the '02, and use the extra $1100 you saved to add suspension..

It seems like a hard decision id go with the 04 prob more reliable and hasnt been rode hard. But thats just my 2 cents.

The 02 only has approx. 55 hours on it, not ridden hard and very well maintained.

Hey I would go for the 02 just what the guy said above, use the rest of the money and get suspension, thats a real good price too for the 02..Good luck:D

I would also go with the 02 And use the money for some nice aftermarket plastics and some other nice goodies... 55 hours is nothing.. Just becasue you other is newer doesnt mean it will be more reliable.. It might have had the piss rode out of it.. I say go with the 02 and save your money that is a great price for a 400ex

the 02 is nice but the 04 is clean ....

Like they other said,go with the 02 and upgrade your suspension with the rest of the money

The red quad would be the smart way to go. As everyone else has mentioned, the money you save during the purchase can be invested into suspension which will give you a nice quad.

Through C&D, I ordered +2 Burgard arms and Works Triple Rates w/ rezzies for less than $1k.

I think you have your answer. :)
