Has anyone thrown the kickstarter on their YFZ as a backup,or even for their primary starting?

Is it easy to start it in the cold with it?how hard was it to install?just take off the start and put the kickstarter on and some gears right?and do you have any pix?

IN the cold yes it is easy to start.but when it is hot after a good run or during a race it can be a pain. so get the hot start to.
the in stall is easy it should take 30 to Min the hole right side case comes off then you put the gears and kick shaft in .you don't have to take off the electric starter at all.

woah that looks awesome on there,you have to cut the plastics a lil bit?but if you wanted to,can you take the electric start off?

i just remounted the plastic back more if you look in the second pic .you can remove the electric start if you want to. but then you still need your battery or a capasitor off of trail tek. for the fan and spark to work right.

Now when get the kickstarter,which hot start do it get,im not to familiar with the YFZ economics just yet,but just wondering that too,and how much did you pay for the kickstarter and the hotstart if you dont mind me asking>

it was around 200$ for the basic kit then like 50$ for the hot start
