I will change my pilot jet 38 to a 42 in the next days and I want to know with my mods how many turns approximatly I will be correct (not to lean and not to rich)

Stock air box
Uni Filter
White Brother R4 Slip on

Elevation below 3000feet

I have a dynojet kit with dj146 main jet (I will try dj150),3.5turn on the pilot jet 38 and the needle on the third groove and run great but pop a little when I left the throttle

By the way its for a 400ex

Thanks

You should be able to set it at around 2 turns out and then adjust it out with the bike warm until you reach the highest possible idle and then back it off a little.

I would guess around 2 1/2-3 1/2 turns out. It's really hard to predict though. Every engine is different and it also depends on your elevation, temp and mods.
