Help, quick! Where to find VIN number on 86 trx

i am sending a bad cdi box back to service honda, and they want my vin number on my trx250r 86, the vin# on the frame.. i cant seem to find it.. not sure if it hasnt been sanded off by the guy who had it before me or what.. but i need to know the general area of where it should be..need to find it by today.. any help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks!

It should be on a small metal plate next to the rear shock reservoir mount (on the subframe).

It is that's why they moved it on later models, I beleive. ;)

there should also be 2 stickers on the frame. one on the up tube infront of the motor and one on the top frame rail on the left side when riding the bike

I wonder why the shop wants your vin number, they don't need that to order a CDI. The reson the vin number was moved on later year frames was because the vin number plate would easily get broken off, hopefully it is still there.
