View Full Version : should i go with stronger handle bars

I heard to use cheap handle bars, so when you roll they will bend and not your steering stem. What do you guys think. I have fly handlebars right now.

I'm goin with a set of 400ex bend renthals. Sterring stems cost less than handlebars. Well the stock tems do at least. I'd just keep what you got.

Like brian400ex said keep the ones you have, but as soon as they bend badly or break, i would replace them with a high quality handlebar like the renthals.
The renthals are at least 10 times stronger than stock

If the bars you got are fine use them. If you go to a better bar you will have more benifits than the cheap ones. 1. they are stronger 2. less fatigue and vibration. Far as the sterring stem bending i think you have to crash pretty hard but maybe not. I have heard of people bending them but they messed up themselves from the crash too.
