Every so often my engine revs up real high while at an idle..well not really at idle, because it doesn't idle. I mean when I am just blipping the throttle to keep it running. I thought I had an air leak, but I coudln't find one. My next guess was my main bearing was goin. Now today, I was riding my quad towards the garage after a day of riding, and it started revving real high then it bogged down real low (sounded like it was fouling a plug) then it was normal. Does anyone have any ideas?

It sounds like it is running out of fuel.

Clean your carb and check the filters.
This can cause piston seizures.

I'm positive I'm not low on fuel. I always run clean filters. What part of the carb should I clean and how do I clean it? Sounds like a dumb question, but I've never cleaned a carb before.

Open up the carb. Remove the jets, float and valve. Clean it thoroughly. Check you gas tank cap too. Sometimes they prevent air from circulating, thus not allowing gas to flow.

Good luck

How did you check for an air leak?

I sprayed carb cleaner around the reed block, carb, and base of the cylinder.
