Upgrading my suspension and wanting to know the best route to go. Already have the recreational elkas w/ stock arms. Thinking of getting +2 arms and just ordering springs from Elka. Or should i keep my stock arms and send my shocks back and add rezzies w/ comp adjustment.

If you go the +2 route then you will also need a revalve to go with the new springs.

when i called elka they said that i would only need springs and not a revalve. Just want to know which will be a bigger inprovement in the ride. the + 2's or the rezzies with comp adjustment.

Depends on what you are doin. If you're doin MX, get the +2s and get the shocks revalved.

If you are doing XC or freestyle get the rezzys and stuff on them because width isnt as much of an issue.

Decided that i am going to have my shocks upgraded before i do the a arms. Now my question is should i send them back to Elka or have it done somewhere else if possible. I have the recreational shocks and want to add rezzies with a compression adjustment.

i think if you go that route you're better off just buying a used or new pair of elkas with rezzys... i called elka to ask about putting rezzys on my rec's and they said it would cost around $550.00, just get new ones and sell those.

Elka gave me a price of $460 for the rezzies and to install them. Which isn't bad considering the the shocks only cost me $460 new. New shocks with rezzies are about $800 which i did not have at the time. Now im wanting to upgrade and wondering who i should have do the work. Was wondering if anybody on here could reccomend someone or if i should just send them to elka?
