That was an arens 250r frame that I converted. I can probably answer most question you have as to problems you come across and special parts needed to do the conversion. I also converted that frame for a long travel no link

The rear shock is 18.5in Its an Elka no link shock triple rate fully adj. with ssd. the rear swingarm is a true no link swingarm. It is a lonestar dc-2. And I believe the rear shock mount was moved up somewhere in the neighborhood of 1 3/4 - 2 in I would have to check.

Do you think that you could also put a 450r motor in a Laeger or Roll frame, I would be interested in having it done. Lee@racingquads.com

I don't think you could put a 450r motor in a r chassis the only motors i would attempt would be a yz426 or a z400 motor I think would also work.

best i can help out is try to keep it as close to stock location as you can. and make sure whoever does the conversion for you knows what there doing. if your doing it the only real thing you have to worry about is to make sure the chain will line up straight. if it doesnt it will alsways want to through the chain off. youll need custom mounts and try to get the stock pipe. it prolly wont fit but 4 stroke pipes are easy cause you can heat them up and bend them if you need to. that and the carb lining up are the only real problems you should have since the r is water cooled already. also before you buy the motor see if you can measure it from top to bottom cause 4 strokes are taller than zingers. should have no problem with the bottom end since the trans is seperate unlike the r motor.

I will say right, now it is extremely hard to put any of those motors into a frame with a stock rear shock mount. It has to be no link, or Cr500 because the bars are arched over the top so the carb can fit under.

Why doesn't the 450R motor fit in the 250 frame? I was thinking about selling all my stuff and making a hybrid. Is it too tall? Thanks
