I HAVE A STOCK 250R MOTOR. I WAS WANTING SOME INPUT ON WHERE SHOULD I GO FROM HERE. I AM DRAGGIN WITH 450'S,MODDED BANSEEES,PREDATORS,LT250 QUADRACERS ON NOS, THEY ARE DOGGIN ME OUT. I AM A DIE HARD 250R MAN THATS THE ONLY WAY ILL GO. CAN SOME ONE GIVE ME SOME DIRECTION ON WHERE TO START WITHOUT SPENDING ALL MY MONEY? I CURRENTLY HAVE A PIPE&SILENCER,38MM CARB,K&N, FILTER.

new reeds? and a 300cc resleeve with a good port job would b the cheepest biggest gain you could do. or a good port job and bore yur stock jug to 265 and spacer plate it. or NOS.

by the way click that CAPS key about once.

I would say start with a 330 or bigger aftermarket cylinder. A good port and polish, top end pipe, boysen reeds, mabey even a bigger carb than 38mm.

i smoke stock 450s with the lrd jones 265 and macdizzy porting...mods in sig.

Ok, let's not get too advanced. If he's working on the stock motor right now, he may not necessarily need to jump to a complete aftermarket 330, and also may not have the funds for it.

TSAM250R, right now all your mods are external. You have a pipe, carb, filter (I hope you also have aftermarket reeds), but you don't have any INTERNAL engine mods. I would say this is the area that you would tackle next. Look into getting you cylinder ported, and head mods to increase compression.

At this point, you also need some professional advice. It's very important to match your porting to your pipe, and to match them both to your riding style.
