I have a 2000 honda 300 and somebody tole me i couldnt run the same size tire all the way around cause of the factory gear ratio. i was wondering if that was true or what, i need help. thanks

You'll be fine. A recon 250 will turn 25s.

travis- get a clue before posting useless and wrong info.

a 300 4x4 has different size tires, 24" front's and 25" rears. you can't put the same size all around because of the stock gearing. you could put 25" fronts and 26" rears to keep everything in one piece.

What the hell are you talking about kid? I know what I said is true, you obviously don't visit many 4x4 forums much, eh? I know several people with 300s that turn 27s all day on each rim. maybe you should get a clue before going into ******* mode.

28"s all around, stock gearing.

27"s all around, stock gearing.

do a little reseach before you post.. a trx300 4x4 has different size front and rear tires.

that doesn't mean it's right. it will prematurly wear the differentials because of the front diff trying to turn faster then the rear.

So? Your saying because they are 1 inch different stock he can't put the same inch tire on all 4 rims? That doesn't make sense, I just showed you numerous links to 300s with the same inch tire around.

just because someone else did it doesn't make it right, just like i said before. the difference doesn't mean all that much on wet ground. but like most kids on here they'll be on the road and it will be hard on the diff's.

Not ALL kids ride on the road. Sorry about the kid part, you were just talking rude, so I thought you were young.

I guess we need more info from whitt racing 420 on what he plans to do on this machine.

Ya'll need to calm down!!!!! Both of you are right.
a 300 4-trax did come from the factory with the smaller
tires in the front (23x8-11 to be exact) and the rears were bigger
although not by much (24x9-11). The reason was so the quad wouldn't be as hard to turn with the smaller tires. If ya wanna put the same size tires on it go ahead, From what i've seen
it won't affect the driveline that much. but it will be harder to turn:)
