Hey man, I was at this decision a while back and heres what I know. Holeshots are made of a softer compound rubber than the Razrs which would alsoi lead to better traction but the tread pattern on the Razr's is spaced out a little to give you that extra traction back. As for tire wear over time even though the Razr's have less tread on the ground they are harder so they also wear about the same mile wize. So just as I was your back to square one. I read somewhere that because the tread pattern on the Razr's is farther apart, that in mud they tend to dig too deep too quick causing you to get stuck easier. But thats what I read heresay or not I don't know. I do like the fronts better though and would have recently bought myself a whole set of Razr's but I already had holeshots and if I have a flat during a race I need to be able to change one tire and have matching tires. Hope I helped. The chioce is yours Good luck Later Doug

I run Holeshots up front and shredders in the rear. I like that setup. I had razr's before the shredders and I didnt like them as much as the shredders. Just my opinion.

why would you buy the razr 2s when nobody has run them yet other than bill balance and other select few...and they arent even running them all the time.

The best thing to do is figure out what type of riding/racing you are planning on doing then go from there...talk to people you ride with see what they are running and what they like.

I race harescrambles/PK offroad series and some GNCC so I have a different stuff for different tracks 20in and 22in holeshots, 20 in razrs, 23in front holeshots, 22in front razrs, set of blackwaters and a set of Ohtsu.

everybody has different needs and preferences

Guys, razrs are softer than holeshots. The tread pattern is also more spread apart and the treads are larger. This makes them better in wet/muddy conditions than razrs. They also last a tad bit shorter. I have razr's myself and i like them. It all depends on preference and terrain however. You have to give us more info to give you a better idea on what to get.

In my opinion razrs are better in all conditions and especially in XC racing.

OK ill tell u what is better than both. i recently purchased holeshot xc in back for my 400ex and they are better for mx but not as good for all around as my groved turf tamers were. i bought the tamers and cut a tred pattern in them that was every other three u cut than u skip a row. u can do whatever u think will work best but i liked that pattern. they hook up really well for cornering ( dont slide as well especially not on a 300ex) and are nice for harderpack. they wear about the same but the holeshots are uncture resastant bacicly that is why i got em and also i race mx so the holeshots are better.
