400ex cutting out...need some help

im currently in idaho on vacation, and my quad was running fine for the first 5 days and just today it starts to cut out in the high rpm's. Whats going on with it, the elevation is a little higher than where i live, but why would it run perfectly for 5 days and today start to cut out? please help me out. thanks

Could be your Airfilter is Extremely dirty and restricting airflow..

it was fairly dirty but i cleaned and oiled it before i had problems. Actually, i started having problems after i cleaned it. I oiled my K&N, but i also oiled my outerwear and ehs lid, which i have never done before. could that be resrticting airflow?
