Are wheel spacers good? Are they like ones for a car? Break easy and possibly get you killed? I wanted to widen my quad a bit. Is this a good way to go?

People say you are going to bend an axle or something. I was thinking about getting them but you bottom out your shocks easier and I already jump to high.:o

I had them...... I bent my axle..... enough said.
Hey slowrider, about your 250r, I think I'm goign to pass. It sounds like a little too much hassle for me, I'll just get a 450.

i have them for the rear and i race mx with them so i think the work good. put then on the rear not the front becuse the fronts will make it harder to turn.

^ not true.
i've been running 3in spacers on the front of my quad for 9 straight races, no problems, and it wasn't any harder to control
i have them forsale because my front end is coming soon.

In a way they do make turning a bit more difficult. With the wheel being farther away from the spindle it makes it a little harder. The thing that you notice the most is the extra bumpsteer that you get.

the farther you get the center of the tire away from the initial part of the spindal, the more bump steer you get.
for the rear i think wheel spacers work good, i had them on my blaster for a year or so, i air mine out a bit more than your usual blaster and had no problems until my back tires hit hard on a short, steep dirtbike landing.... thats on a 35ft stepdown.

i like them alot on the rears of mine. I had them on the front and it worked fine. It doesnt make you bottom out ne more. It can make you bend a tierod alot easier though. And an axle if you race mx. Mines bent already just from one summer of racing.
