View Full Version : Shocks Squeeking!!!

I've got a set of triple rate stadium series works piggybacks. Problem is this--They squeek like a newlyweds bed. They have been revalved once before. Its not coming from the mounts, they have some type of a swivel thing. It is coming right from the shaft area of the shock, anyone else have this and possibly a solution??????

I squirt a little oil in the bushings were they mount to the frame and the a-arms..that's what I did..

It might be the springs where they come together my elkas did it to tell the truth i am not sure if they still do it how old are the shocks maybe it will go away when they break in more. I couldn't hear mine make the noise unless i was going slow.

Will WD-40 work or should I get something else?

Mine sounds like its in the shock body itself, or possibly in the area where the shaft goes into the big rubber bushing. (Sounds like a good porn impromptu......)

I coat my whole machine with wd-40 before a race the a-arm bushings the whole shock bodys and shaft any moving part that i think mud and water can get into and screw up.
