has anyone taken a 06 yfz carb apart yet? I did my rejet last night and found a needle marked nvnq with NO clip adjustments. i am doing a standard full exhaust (fat boy 4) with k&n , pro design, no lid rejet. sure appreciate any help. thanks.

I am going to be installing a pipe also and was told to order a NCVQ needle and start out in the third spot down.

this needle has no adjustment on it at all! ive seen plenty of carb needles but never one with only one clip groove. is there an adjustment somewhere else in the slide or what?

Hmm.. I never heard of that before. I would just go get a NCVQ (yz needle) and play with it.

You can thank the government for that. You will also notice the fuel screw has a cover over it now so you can't adjust it.
ATV have just joined the ranks of EPA controlled emmisions.
That is why the Blaster and Banshee are going away next year....

youre right, i could believe it when I was looking for the fuel screw and didnt see it right away, the screw is plugged up like the old carburated cars before F.I. has anyone unpluged these carbs yet? what is the right way to do it?

I just pulled the float bowl off and tapped the plug out from the inside with a screwdriver. It was pretty easy.
