Hello. I am new to this site and pritty new to quads. I have had a few but I have been riding bikes all my life. I have been racing my dirtbike for a few years now. I always watch the quads race while I am waiting for my moto. I have a 2002 300ex. The guy I got it from said somethiing about it being a 330. I dont know how you tell so I dont know. If anyone knows and can tell me cool. Anyway I have been riding it for awhile and was thinking about racing it. It has loads of parts on it everything form Nacs which is just down the road from my house. I dont know if anyone has heard of them but around here they are the best in quads. They make all custon parts. My question is does anyone race 300ex's in a motocross style. I havent seen any on the track but it is hard to tell when they are flying past you. Please let me know. And also how you tell if it is a 330 or not. Thanks and sorry if thid is posted elsewhere.

Well the only way you can tell if its a 330 is ripping the motor apart. But if it will waste 400ex's in top end and it has a TON of low end torque, then its probablly a 330. I built my 300ex up to a 330 and set it up for motocross, but I have never raced it. I just practice on it, but I can easily beat most people on the track. 300's are a great track quad if you have suspension mods, because they handle so good. I'd take my 330 anyday over a 400ex. Right now mines forsale though because I'm getting a 450r.

It has alot of low end very powerfull. It beats my neighbors Suzuki z400 but I havent had a chance to go against a 400ex. It has alot of parts FMF exhaust and stuff. I dont know much about them however I am a bike man myself. Just seemed like something fun to get into.

Well if it beats the z400 then it will TOAST a 400ex. Mine is the same way. I can edge out a Z and toast an EX. Yours is definetly a 330.

at least a 330, could even be bigger than that. like he said, the only way to tell is to take the head off and measure the bore and stroke. its safe to say you probably have some porting and other head mods also

if your good at riding , anything with 400cc's and below wont touch you on a track .
