I just got a 89 250r and I was out riding the otherday and it seemed like 1st and 2nd gear were WAY short. I counted up the teeth whenever I got back and it was a 13-37. I'm also running 18 inch tires on the back. Do I just need to get used to shifting out of 1st and 2nd real fast, b/c thats the way it is supposed to be, or should i change the gearing? I'm going to be ATV rodeoing though, so I need to keep the 18 inch tires in the rear if I can to keep the CoG lower. Thanks for your time.
