how do i tell what year my engine is in my 250R...i know theres identification #'s but is there any way i can look them up so it can tell me which year??

The ID# is a start but not a sure fire way of telling.The problem is that it doesn't always tell what you actually have due to the fact of things breaking then being replaced with something else. The only thing that it will tell you for sure is what year your cases are (e.i on my engine my cases are from an 85 ATC but everything internally is 88 trx). So if someone else were to look up the #'s they would be under the assumption the the engine was an 85 ATC
