i copied fthis from hmf's website .....

The Raptor 700 Slip On is available.
The power gains are:

8 HP on the bottom.
8 HP in the midrange.
5 HP on top end.

Modifications:

We used the stock air filter ( nothing is available yet) HMF will have a foam filter available soon.
Airbox lid OFF.
Dobeck TFI box $209.95 (settings:Green/3. Yellow/7. Red/8 RPM/5 for our location.
**Once an air filter is available (and a backfire screen removal kit) power increases will go up.
***More air flow and fuel should net 1~2 more HP.

We have a headpipe done BUT until we get a filter and remove the backfire screen the numbers for it are on hold.

What happened to Yamaha's claim that you wouldn't have to remap for a pipe?

Was it OK without the remap, or was that for more power.

Most definately. Just wondering cause Yamaha said you wouldn't have to.

Is it a system similiar to the Cannondale? Is there any feedback? O2 sensor?

i dont know about them saying you will not have to change maps... but not changing jets is true of course since it doesnt have jets. you have to change the fuel map when you do mods to your motor to get the a/f ratio correct. as for an o2 sensor, i couldnt tell you, yamaha hasnt updated the listings for oem parts as of yet that i can tell, anyone shed some light on this? and can you convert the older raptors to efi???

Don't think so. The new head is 4V as I understand. Looked drastically different on the one I rode.

For once I would like to see a HP comparison of a slip on vs the peashooter pulled out. I bet it would be less then 1 HP diff. I bet the dobech thing and the stock pipe would net about the same thing and they are taking dobechs credit for the HP gains.
