black rubber hose hanging?

Hey all, Im a first time quad owner so I dont know much about how they are built or what fits where. I have a black hose hanging by the engine. If you look at the choke lever it is just to the right and behind the choke assembly. Is this supposed to be hooked to something?

thats the gas overflow tube...perfectly normal
