OH Yea BABY!

First thing i'd like to mention is that this kicks some serious butt!

Second thing is for all those losers who said I couldn't build a 550 before I built a 530, and you know who you are, this is my slap back in your face... HA! You should have believed me when I say I can- I do. Everything in this build is mine. I had no-one build it, and nobody else designed it. All my machining, all my measuring, all my calculations, all my hard work. Over six months of planning finally payed off when i started the engine tonight and it roared like an angry "BEAST".

Now, hopefully it'll last a while :D

see ya in the dirt,.....

between his 550 and that turbo of Jim's it may stress out the dyno:scary:

Very nice, all though I think I would have kept the stock graphics so people didn't know the engine was so big...

did you every get any more on the titanium part you were looking at from dasa? i think it was something in the head like the exhaust rocker assembly or something...

Thanks fellas. I really feel excitement too. Can't wait till I get her dial'd in, but I don't think she'll be push'n much more than my 530 did (58.5/43) right now with the cam timing somewhat unknown. Maybe, once I figure out what the cam timing should be she might wake up more, but I'm not expecting much on the first dyno run tonight. The engine only has 10 minutes thus far. I really decided to build from 530 to 550 to eliminate the cam chain +2 link 4 hour life issue that i had on the 530. Now, the cam chain is stock length and should last alot longer. Still nervous to see if this setup will last too. Running about 13:1 101mm x 68.8mm.

I thought about keep'n her stealth too, but then I remembered that my 502 wasn't stealth and I had graphics to use on the new build

cal, hadn't got the DASA ex rocker. But I did have to modify mine a bit to drop the cam tower down a bit. Yea, to get back to stock cam chain length alot of machining was required and very accurate measuring was needed to determine the tolerance that I was shooting for. Overall, to get back to stock cam chain length with my stroker setup, I had to machine the cam tower standoffs, deck the head, adjust ex rocker tolerances, and adjust piston dome for 13:1 for valve to piston clearances. All very complicated and one of a kind, but IMO better than before....

Can't wait to finally meet everyone this wekend. You doods are all really kewl!

ok- I would love to but I won't buy a YAMI. I'll work one, but not buy one. The new craptor is really impressive with the stock 42rwhp and 39ft/lbs of torque off the stock floor. I would guess an easy 85hp is to be expected from that new beast after a bore/stroker setup!
