Just go to a sprocket 1 tooth smaller in the front (13)

Before I installed my full exhaust I thought i'd have to gear down the counter shaft. Once I put my sparks exhaust on I regained the bottom end so I have no problem wiht the stock gearing at all with my stock tires.

I dune 99% and I run 21" rear tires...PC exhaust, HRC kit, uni...I run the 13/38 combo and I really like it. I just installed the 12.25 HH piston and I am doing the suspension now...when I put the new swinger on I am going to try 14/40 combo. It will gear me a little higher then the 13/38...

I agree. I went down to a 13T it was fine. I put on my pipe and it was hitting the rev limiter too fast. I went up one tooth in the rear to a 39T and back to a 14 in the front. I run 14/39 and think it is the best set up for me.

I'm running a 13/34 combo. Pulls real hard and keeps the top end!;)

why didn't you just run 14/37 or 14/36?

on stock motor I was running 13/37. But after getting my motor back in with stage 2 hotcam, 13-1 piston, and port work, i think i will drop another tooth on the back. It will be geared a little lower than stock and a little higher than what i have now.

I've always heard the closer you get both sprockets to the diameter of the counter-shaft, the harder it will pull.:ermm:
