Has anyone done a Sparks pipe rebuild, I have a X-6 pipe and the end cap is crushed, does anyone know if another companies end cap will work. I have heard that the sparks end cap is welded to the core.

come on people, I don't want to pay Curtis over $100 just because of my endcap.

it should be held in place by 3 to 4 rivits.

you would have to see if someone could measure the diameter of the silencer to see if an off brand would work or not.

Can I just replace the endcap then, someone at Sparks told me I had to buy the complete endcap and core.

DO you know of anyother endcaps that will fit on a Sparks pipe?

the core could very well be welded to the end cap, if thats the case then sparks would have the assembly only and not the end cap.

Could you just cut it off like this one, Or is it crushed a lot worse than this one was.

I could probably do that but I did not want it to start rusting because if I cut it the finish will start chipping off.
