trx 450 or yzf450

I know im posting this in the trx450 forum so most are probally gonna say the trx (which i am leaning towards anyway) but which one of these is better for trail riding ? Been more into my car for the past couple years so don't really know much about the new bikes.

I would but i don't know anyone that has them. Probally gonna go with the honda. But just wanted to see if anyone was better for trail riding cause thats what i will be doing.

Honda.. IMO you should do a search before everyone starts fighting with there fingures..

but if you want my oppinion i would have to say honda, its tank and seat design just seem to conform to your legs and butt better than the yfz

but the yfz has a racier feel, but was to long of a distance between the bars and seat for me... because im short

i like both equally though

that's weird........most short people are the other way around. i'm only 5'6" and i feel a lot more comfy on the yfz.

agreed. id deffanitley go with the honda. the yamaha jus feels uncomfortable to be...IMO......

The honda definately has a lot more lowend power then the yfz so it should fit you nicely.

It is very much a personal preference thing.They are both good quads.

When it all comes down. I have ridden both YFZ's and TRX's that were modified to the point I would when I get one. I have to say the only difference is the kick start.

If that bugs you, buy the Yamaha.
If you think it's better buy the Honda.

Otherwise
6 of one, hlf dozen of the other.

if i was going to race every now and then, trail ride , ride mx id go for the 450r, they just feel comfortable to be on, and you got a honda...thats hard to beat reliability and durability wise

but if your a hardcore racer and thats all you do id go for the yfz, the power is awesome , the seat and stuff is perfect for moving around , it just has that moto feel, but it def beats you up riding for a long period of time

i'm going to have to agree with SRH...except for one thing...and im sure he'll agree with me..if your a hardcore racer than the bike is going to be a hardcore racer...in which case all the bikes have the same power, suspension, and ride hieght and mostly the same handling...so if your a hardcore racer its not about which quad is better, because they are the same...its about which one your more comfortable on....in an overview, the honda is better for the everyday rider, the honda is better for the trail rider, the honda is better for the guy who rides mx every once in a while, and for the guy who only races MX they are about the same with the yfz maybe having a slight advantage in the lower classes, with this said, overall im going to have to say the honda is the better machine, however this does not mean you should go out and buy a honda. RIDE THEM BOTH BEFORE YOU DECIDE, you'll be glad you did.
