struts got a little out of hand somtimes your quad can get squirly and there is no give from the shocks its better to get small drag shocks i have some that i modified if you want them 50shipped?

i found that yamaha blaster shocks work perfect with a little grinding on the top mounts and a lil on the bottom.

im planning on making a set for myslef....im going to make the 8" long :eek2: that way ill be real low if not scrapin.....i think im going to measure 1/2 for mounting at the frame on top and use washers for the excess room, and for the bottom im going to go with 1" for mounting to the frame, also using washers to fill the excess space

8'' long isnt very long at all....i dunno if that will work or not....best handling seemed to me was to take ur shocks off and get the a-arms level then measure from there....i didnt like it when the a-arms started sloping up ...

I think 8" is way to short you dont want to be to short and then hit the ground and loose control and DIE!

Well i went with 15 inches it brought my a- arms just about straight across I didnt want to much stress on the frame or any other parts so thats why its 15........ this is just 1inch spuare tubing and it worked fine but i did have to smash the upper end of the strut to make it fit inside the shock mount.......I dont know if im gonna strap the rear end down or not.. im thinking that maybe ill not because the rear shock can dampen some of the power from the take off and that will keep the front end on the ground and with the 13 tooth gear in the front im expecting to run in the low 5's maybe 5.2 i just have to get a good RT...I have a pic but i tried to post it and it was too big so how to i shrink it ?

ok guys, i opened my mouth to soon before i tryed it, i figured hell...my shocks are 16"s long so im going to cut that length in half, wrong, i had to go with 14"1/2' long and its nice, but i did have to adjust my tie rods a little bit, heres a few pics, hope you get the idea.

300ex shocks are your best bet...
