i was wondering what is needed to be done to put 450r shocks on a KFX400. I have seen a pic with them on a kfx but my friend tells me that the shocks are 1/8 in. sloppy in the mounts.

since noone else is answering..
just taking a cursory look, it appears as though theyd be fine..
i wasnt aware of any "slop" in the mounting holes as i believe the mounting hardware is the same size.
i dont know if there's and external obstrusctions to the mounting eye's forcing some grinding.. like on a 400EX
there's a 0.1inch difference in length which likely isnt noticable..
but... there's alot of 05 KFX take-offs to use instead..
if youre getting a good deal on the trx shocks, then maybe you should consider selling them and then pick up some new kfx shocks..
once again, you can make them fit, but they wont work correctley.

They will need to be revalved and resprung to work right.
Warrior or LT80 shocks work much better...;)
I had them on my kfx for 3 months and it was 10 x better than stock. Yes they bolt up just fine to. Do a search on z400central and you'll find alot of peopl have done this.
