anyone have 18" rear tires.......i was thinking about getting some 8 inch beadlocks with 18" rear mx holeshots...............how does the 18 inch tires change your gearing?

They lower your gearing alot. And your top speed wont be as high. you'll just get there in a hurry, be a little quicker. The only bad thing about them is the low ground clearance. I wouldnt recommend them for trail riding. Thats just my 0.02

go up to a 16t front or 36t rear if u have motor work... if not i heard to just keep it stock and its perfect for the track...

i like my 18's but i do alot of trail riding and the ground clearence is a bit of a problem. other than that i didnt notic much of a change in the gearing.

If your doing any trial riding with rocks and stumps in your way don't get them, they lower ground clearence. But if your just racing mx or No where near rocks and stumps. Get them. They lower your quad. more stability. But take into consideration holeshot Mx's or turf tamers will wear out faster then others. due to there softer compound

i don't have beadlocks, but i did just get some 18 inch holeshots, but the new 9 inch rim size. they are great. a very nice compromise between the 8 and 10 inch rims. they look good too because of the low profile.

I run 18x10x8 Maxxis Razor MX rears also, but on 8" Douglas Billet Ultimate Beadlocks. I run 12-35 gearing. Stock on my Mojave was 12-43. For more wide open tracks, I run 13-35 gearing.
