How much of a difference?

I am thinking about getting an FCR 39MM carb but how much of a difference will i notice is it going to be tramendously different or just a little. I dont want to soend $430 on this thing and it not do anything that im going to notice. I heard it is supposed to give you a 7-10 horespower gain but is that all true? Need some help guys... Thanks

depends on what elts you have that will complement it. I will see more from one because I have exaust and porting. if you dont have thoes things then results will be a little less. you can start things by taking the choke out.

i have a 426ex with a hot cam stage 2 no porting or polishing just cam and piston will i notice anything with the fcr 39mm

I would assume so, I dont have first hand expearence.

39 mm fcr on a built 400 is usually good for about 3-5 hp, the acceleration increase is phenominal though.

i don't know who said 7-10 but i think they are nuts. if you gain 3-5, you don't notice it either in my opinion when dragging. you notice a ton of throttle response though so it actually feels quicker. when going side by side with another person, you actually aren't going any or much quicker though. get a used one.
