If I was you, I wouldn't get Quad Tech. You can get a Jettrim seat cover and 1" of foam for $120 + shipping. Quad Tech seat covers with 1" of foam are $180 + $20 for shipping. But Quad Tech makes the Jettrim seat covers. You can also get the Jettrim custom made with any color you want! Here's their website:

I've never had a problem with my seat being too stiff:confused: . Of course almost all of my riding is done standing up, if I'm going fast enough as to where it'd hurt my butt, I'm standing up.

It depends on what you do with it. For Racing the 06 seat is as close to perfect as you can get. If you do alot of long distance riding I would looking into some of the other options people have listed here.

DFR uses the same +1 inch seat foam the Quad Tech uses and it's NOWHERE NEAR AS SOFT AS A 450R.

If you are going to an aftermarket seat to raise your seat height to make your YFZ a more comfy ride for a long leged person, then the DFR/QUAD TECH +1 seat is worth the money. But if you're buying it thinking it's gonna be anywhere near as soft as the 450R seat then SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

Someone does make a more comfortable seat. I put a Hi-Flite desert seat on my blaster with a non slip cover and the thing is unbelievable. Its 4 inches thick but you sink in about 2 inches. It definitely smoothes out the bumps and I can ride all day without magasaurass.

I have the quad tech double thick foam and non-slip cover and love it. My bumb doesn't get sore anymore!
