AC Propeg Nerf Bars

Which side does the metal half inch plate mount on. They say the right side but which right. Standing towards the front or the rear.
Trying to install it right the first time. I'm not sure if it matters or not, but dont want to take a chance.

i'm pretty sure i have the side with the spacer on the rear brake side. i can't check tho cuz i currently have them off my bike cuz i'm waitin for them to send me the parts i need to install my new one i got after i wrecked one.
