Question about installing new handlebars on 250ex!!

Im taking off my stock handlebars and was wondering how you get the ignition key outta that black plastic piece that has the reverse and neutral lights. I have gotten everything off but that part. Do I have to cut it out or is there a way without cutting. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

There are 2 prongs that hold it in the plastic. With your index finger and thumb you will be able to feel around the base of the ignition switch(just under the plastic piece) until you find the prongs,,press them in and it will slide out!
