Ive worked at a car wash for a little over 3 years. With ours, which I believe the manufacture's name is PDQ, with the weep (not holding the trigger) is 1000 psi, with the trigger is 1500 psi. The laserwashes (G5) are 2000 psi on high pressure. The thing I like better about car washes is that it puts out 3 times as much water as a regular household pressure washer. I can wash my truck (chevy s-10) in 6 minutes, this includes: spraying tire cleaner, spraying high pressure soap, using the foaming brush, then rinsing with high pressure wax then finally the low pressure spot free rinse.

You should look for something with at least 3-5 GPM. The high pressure is nice, but you need both volume and pressure to clean quickly. 2000PSI would be enough if you have some volume.
