I know a kid that ran an eldebrock and hated it. He know runs the one sold by white brothers, i beleive its Mikuni, and he says the eldebrock aint chit compared to the mikuni. And this is on a 300ex bored .80 over, cam, unlimited rev box, full exhaust. port and polish. All the goods. BUt i guess it would just be preference.

i love my edelbrock. runs great and it really easy to tune, you dont have to worry about jets, and if you do have any probs just call edelbrock and theyll fix you up for free.

When I buy a aftermarket carb, can I keep my thumb throttle or I can't use the carb if I don't use the twist throttle?

u can use either one u will just need to get the correct cable

why would u not have to fool with jets for an edlebrock? is it just built in and u adjust it, u dont need to buy jets?

no there are no jets just clips and needles

I love my Edelbrock, but those that are thinking about getting one should know all the facts.

Its a needle carb. Like all needle carbs, the needle goes right down the throat of the carb. So, that means if you ride where there are very fine particles of dust (which is just about everywhere) be prepared for some carb maintainance with cleaning that needle. I usually have to take mine out after every ride and totally clean that needle so that the throttle does not stick. This is the same design as the lectron with the exception that the lectron does not have an Accelorator Pump.

Good filters and pre-filters help. If you run K&N never run without a pre-filter.

FYI.
