I replaced my clutch and springs and my cable is like way to long. Why would that be? everyone is telling me just to get a shorter cable but why should i have to? The cable i have no is brand new and its like way to long. Did i do something wrong putting it back together? thanks

Did you route the cable correctly? That would cause some extra cable if you didnt do that right.

there isnt to much of the coating it is the actual cable itself. (the wire) I dont think it really matters which way you rout the cable because it isnt going to change the length of the actual cable.it is so loose i have no clutch at all.

if its not new it could be stretched and make sure you did route it the same way as stock. also make sure if this is a 400ex make sure the arm is engaging internally.
i had a motion pro and had the same problem...i used some washers temporarily on the perch to push the rubber [part back further. (do you understand that? I can go into it further.)
then I went to the dealership and paid $10 for another stock cable and it worked perfect. I'd stick with stock with the cables. ;)
