I've heard a lot about CR gaskets bumping compression... Do I need any specififc mods, or can I just smack a CR gasket and expect a power boost? I have everything apart for a rebuild so it would be easy to put one in now. Oh yeah, and what year of CR250 gasket? Thanks guys.

an 89 cr250 head gasket is what your after I think, just be sure to check compression and run hi-enough octane gas

the ATC 250R head hasket is thinner than the stock(but lots just split the stocker)

the CR is the thinnest of the bunch

hope that helps a tad..

The best way to do it like Jeremy stated above is to take the stock TRX head gasket and split it, throw away the center piece and use one of the outer gaskets. It is the same size as the CR gasket but you have the two gaskets so you'll have a spare for the future.
