Have any of you guys seen the 330 bore kits for the 300EX on ebay? i believe they use a JE piston. It says they dont need a resleeve, but i think i would do that ne way. Do you think this would be a good deal? Its 299 w/ a jet kit, and 250 w/out a jet kit?

Any 330cc kit will require a new sleeve. The cylinder must also be machined to take the new larger sleeve. Jets cost about 4 dollars a piece. You can get 10 of them for 50 bucks.

so are you saying pass on the jet kit? And how much do you think it would cost a GOOD engine builder to put it in. along with a cam.

Toss him an e-mail for pricing on labor.

As a note.. a 330 kit is nearly useless without a Cam, port/polish, and oversized valves. You really need all of them.

Otherwise.. I'd jsut reccomend getting an 11:1 stock bore piston. With the head untouched, this is your best bet. But, I'd still reccomend a good cam.
