Does the lonestar axle extend up to +4 all together. I am getting +2 a-arms and they say it only goes to +3.5? So my question is does the Lonestar acle go up to +4 all together?

i have heard that durablue does not back there axels as well as lonstar. i.e it takes alot of sending back and forth and paper work to get durablue to fix or replace if the axel fails, as apposed to loanstar that i had a friend bent his after like a year and they sent him a new one within a week or two. no hastle. this didn't happen to me so its all hear say but it seems to be the common opnion.

I'd say DuraBlue. I have their Eliminator axle and carrier on my YFZ and I love it. LSR's are good but they haven't been around as long as DuraBlue. As far as the warranty, I think LSR (and many others) went BK and changed the name so all the old axles aren't covered any longer. DuraBlue has been in business longer than any other mfg which makes me more comfortable. What good is a lifetime warranty if the company isn't there?

You need to be getting your facts straight before you accuse LSR of that...

Dan @ LSR

That's funny. My first thought would be "what good is a lifetime warrenty if it's only good once..."

I would have to say Durablue. I had a Lonestar axle and when I had a question and called them nobody seemed to know anything there. Now I have a Durablue axle and I love it. Plus when I have a question or problem they are very helpful.

Lonestar has been the best carrier and axle i have ever owned.

As soon as my current RPM breaks again (will be the 3rd one).. I am gunna get another Lonestar...

Pappy, why you bagging on me? I don't usually do these "forum" things and came across this site yesterday. I thought I'd post something that might help others. I made another post regarding a 450R lowering kit that I thought would help too. I thought this was an "open" forum and people were looking for helpful information. Didn't mean to piss anyone off, just trying to help.

Dan, didn't mean any disrespect to LSR. Just relaying what I heard.

read your post about a company going out of business, or misleading information isnt something we take lightly..period. you are 100% free to your opinions, but trust me, if your info isnt factual you will be called out on it.

you are also free to support any company you so choose, but making things up as you go along isnt going to cut it, atleast not on this site.

I"ve owned both and the durablues 1 time warranty sucks.

LSR has a better warranty for a bent axle but watch the sprocket hub....:o

I dont think either one of those companies axels match up to RPM's Dominator or Dominator II axels. RPM has a full life time warrente against bending or breaking. Thats all my friends and I use and iv never seen one bend or break. If you want the top of the line axel RPM is the only way to go.

LMAO!!! Who cares how long they have been in business! Doesn't mean a damn thing!

I have heard so much bad stuff about DuraBlue.....I am suprised they are even still in business!!

Lonestar.....RPM....or Team, Take your pick they are all great axles!

I am Sure Dan over at Lonestar will take care of any issue you would ever have on a Lonestar axle, they are a very stand-up company.

I've had a lonestar on my 440 since '99 and have never had any problems. And I have put a whole lot of baja miles on that axle. I am now building a 450r for baja and was trying to decide of going with an RPM, a TEAM, or a lonestar. But I think I'm sticking with Lonestar.

durablue sucks, bend it once and it costs you nothing to get it straightened the first time(my own experiance, not hearsay)bend it again and they charge you 170 bucks to fix it(plus you pay shipping both ways, and they have a standard $25.00 charge for return shipping(so I was told by thier head of sales and marketing)I paid 14.65 to ship it to them .I have receipts and can explain further if need be.when I got it back after 2 solid months,I installed it and hit my 40 tabletop(hit a bit flat)it snapped off, only had it on my machine for about 45 mins.

i`v had problems with my durablue x-33 the sprocket hub sat loose on the splines ever since i bought it. i have replaced the aluminum sprocket hub 2 times due to breaking it and one hub, but that was because the bolt broke going into a straight away, into the corner the hub slid and snapped and sent me flying

I just picked up my 400Ex today and it has a broken durablue spocket hub. After reading this, I may just get a Lonestar axle.

Are broken sprocket hubs a big problem?

Thanks, Eric

Not saying one is crap and one is good but... Dad had a durablue axle in his old tri-Z trike, then the same axle went into his Tri-Z converted into a quad, then he sold that quad so the axle went into his Banshee. That axle lasted 17 years. When it did break 3 years ago because his fat *** mate got on the quad and over jumped a 60ft table top Durablue replaced it and had it here within 2 weeks. And it would have been easy for them to just tell us to bugger off but they replaced it. Maybe we just got lucky

On the other hand I have a lonestar axle in my EX and it has lasted well, never had a problem with it either.

I dont really have a problem with either, the only difference is that Lonestar axles are easier to get here in Australia.

I have a X-33 on my R that I snaped in half, sent it back and got a new one no problem. But like stated before it is now a pro rated warrenty, which sucks. The new style aluminum sprocket hub on them I think suck. I broke 2 until I found their old style hub on a junked 3 wheeler. No problem with it since. Also their cast aluminum wheel hubs are weak, I broke 2 and had to get the billet ones. No problems with it now.

I also have an RPM, which is great, but kinda heavy compared to the X-33.

And a Lone Star which has also been good to me.
