Can an OEM head gasket handle the pressure of a 13:1 piston or do I need to go with another like Cometic?

Hey shaff I just talked to a few local engine builders and they told me that OEM is just as good if not better than the aftermarket gaskets for higher compressions. I was told they seal a little better and that they would be just fine for this application.

they should be just fine. now, if you are running a larger piston you may need to get a different gasket with the piston hole cut larger in the gasket

been using oem gaskets for a year on a 13:1 piston and no probs yet
