just bought an 06 400ex

Well,I just got it yesterday,and I gotta say....its one of the best quads I have ever had. This is my first sports quad,Ive allways had util. 4+4 quads, so its new to me,but im sure in time ill get use to it in a hurry.

you ever notice now the front tread pattern looks like it points backwards. my friend noticed that one day, said the factory messed up, and it would give me 2 or 3 more mph top speed (yes i know hes full of sh*t), but still, i looked up the honda site and found proof of it...oh well

Nice bike! but I still wish they didnt look like the 450's. I like for each model to have its own look insted of all the same like Honda and Yamaha are doing, but still, nice bike:)

Ya,thats the only thing that sucks,evey one of my buddies thought it was a 450 till i got closer,but dont get me wrong though...I love the look of them,I think it gives off a really aggressive look

Im just messing with ya man , i had a 2003 400ex before my 450 and i loved it and never had any trouble with it and its perfect for trail riding , especially since it now has reverse.

I really thought about getting the 450 and i allmost did...but for the kind of trailriding i do,i thought it might of been an overkill for me, but im sure i say that now...lol

When i first got my 450 , my friends would laugh when i had to kick start or get off and push but now i got the hang of everything and now kick sitting down and usually can give it some gas and whip it around when i need reverse. But they don't laugh too much anymore or maybe that's just were there always behind me and i can't hear them. :p

I will second that! It's kind of hard to tell the 450R and 400ex apart with the new style. Now you need to get pics of you riding that thing!

the dealer prolly just put your rims on the wrong side.
couldnt you just flip your left and right rim if you want it the other way?:ermm:

Awsome bike I would love to hve that and for the riding I do reverse is a must. If the older 400 had reverse I would have one thats the only reason I was leaning towards the 300.

my freind jus bought a left over 2004 400ex and the tires looks backwards on that to.....

on the backwards tread thing, couldnt u just switch and put the left front on the right side, and the right front on the left side?:confused: ... im pretty sure it would work

well,my buddy who works at the dealer,was the one who put the quad togther,so I asked him the other day what was up with the front tires,and he said thats the way there supose to go on
