I finally installed the quadtech and IMO it looks much better then the maier hood. i did find that the maier fenders are about 1/2 inch off in regards to the front fenders causing the quadtech to be off on one side(yes, its lined up properly)

I will trim the hood to blend it in with maier's mistake.

Flexxbars are on, now all i can do is wait for the big brown truck to bring the rest of the new goodies

the wer has been working great. i havent heard much on the precision, but anything thats built specifically for a quad versus something designed for a bike has to work better:p its amazing how the quad world is exploding with new and improved parts.

Really nice bike. I love the white and the hood. Wish I had the green for a set of white plastics. Sweet bike:)

no these arent the 1 piece, and your correct, they hood will be mounted to the inside once ive trimmed the bad side. it is easier to make the cut and mark the hood with it like that. (atleast i think it will be:p )

before doing much trimming, i tried remounting it like its supposed to be and low and behold the feller that owned these fenders had indeed drilled holes for the hood in the wrong spot. i will order a new left side front, i dont need extra holes:p

Looks awesome pappy, Cody sure is a lucky kid to have such a great dad. You also dont see many kids that age able to handle a 450 as good as he can from the looks of the pics.

i cant believe how much he has grown. i was keeping an eye out for a YFZ frame for a YFZ/yz250f conversion but may have to entertain the idea of a TRX/crf250f instead.

thanks. he is more suited to a smaller quad still, but it wont be long and i think he will be taking over my quads:ermm: thats him on the white 90

i kno u do a lot of xc racing...jus curious but y arent u using hiper wheels?

when i first built this R, i made it wide and set up for MX. thats fine and dandy but i couldnt ride on our trails with my kids. so when LSR and i sat down to discuss some changes, i wanted to have a quad that could fill many different roles and i think thats what i ended up with. i can swap tires and ride mx or xc or just goof off. there isnt a real happy medium with the shocks if one was looking for pure mx or xc riding in mind, but axis seems to have done a great job in setting them up for me, the average bum on a quad..lol

the R is already wide enough stock, and by LSR's arms being +1/2 i did gain a small amount of width but not enough to keep me away from the the tighest trail yet the set up handles well enough for me to go after the mx track if i decide too.

soon the LSR Outlaw swing arm and linkage along with a new axis rear shock will round out teh suspension and a Rossier pipe will add some needed grunt. hopefully, i will have a quad thats ready for anything i want to do by a few simple parts changes.

You will love that Outlaw rear-end Pappy. We have a Walsh Savior and LSR Outlaw on our bikes and with the PEP ARC shock, it actually made the TRX rideable. No more worrying about going over the bars!

thats a sweet bike pappy :eek2: ohh and if you are seriou about the 250 conversion i would stick ith the yamie motor, they have a little more low end to haul the big quad chasis around ;) , but man your bike is frekin awesome

thanks Zep.

i have also heard that about the yammy, but finding a chassis at a decent price is proving harder then i thought. i will probably spring for a new one since i can get decent deals on oem parts.
