When putting a parking brake block-off on a 400ex do you need to replace the stock clutch lever, or can you just pull the brake cable off and leave that other junk there??:huh :huh

You can leave it on if you want, or you can replace it. I left mine on for a couple of days, then bought a new one.

Hey VegasEX'r -

What did you do with the 2 wires that were hooked to the stock clutch perch set up? I get that those allow you to start the bike when it is not in natural, or at least that is what I am assuming since mine no longer starts while it's in gear.

just connect the 2 wires together, wrap them in electrical tape, and tuck them between your kill/light switch and your handlebars. I did that, and it looks pretty clean. You don't even notice it.

how would you put a new clutch lever on a 300 w/ the reverse button and lever?

300ex rules all you have to do is tie back the reverse engagement lever, located by your right foot, i use a strong zip tie, but you can look under the the ex tech section of this site to find out more, there they use a small chain

Okay, I just installed NEW brake pads...
The pads are rubbing just a little
I have a parking brake block off...and there is no gap between the pads and rotor
Is this normal for brand new pads? They are Braking Under Control Sintered Metal Pads. Thanks!

you know those two wires you unplugged from the stock perch, you need to connect those to start it in gear, i cut the boot off one, and stick the two together and tape it up with some electrical tape, i then take off the light switch/starter unit, and put the wires in there

i'll try to get some pictures up
