What did you set the valve clearance at, I am going to install mine this weekend and needed to know. I think I read like .005 and .006mm, is that right? Sounded tight and I just wanted to check.

intake: .13 mm

exhaust: .15mm

.005 inches for both intake and .006 inches for both exhaust. we set them a hair tight to quiet the valves down a bit.

I set them to .005 and .006 and they are peckin loud, is this just the way it is gonna be or should I set them tighter?

What if I set it at stock clearance?

the stage 1's are loud, so its fine

Yeah I set mine at tight .005 and .006 and they are still loud. Your going to have to just live with it. Besides you cant hear it when your on the gas:D

Well just a little info, I set the cam at stock clearence, .010mm and .012 mm, sounds just like a stock cam, if you listen real hard you can hear the valves just a little, but not much. Just make sure the right exhaust valve gets set good. It was giving me trouble and I have had other 400 do it also.
